Ahead of release later this month, Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios today released a new video for the upcoming spin-off game in the Dishonored series titled Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.

This new video, which is about three minutes long, features Harvey Smith from Arkane Studios going over some of the new powers and gadgets that Dishonored: Death of the Outsider's main protagonist Billie Lurk will have at her disposal in the game. Unlike previous protagonists Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin, Billie doesn't gain her powers through the Outsider's Mark. Instead, her abilities come from items that have previously been in the Void, which is the location from which the Outsider resides.

With this in mind, today's video shows off a slew of new a actions such as the Void Strike, which seems to be a charged up version of a sword strike that propels enemy characters backwards. We also get a look at Billie's mobility power, known as Displace, which helps her quickly transport from one location to another. Quite possibly the coolest new gadget that we see however is called the Hook Mine, which is a device that Billie can attach to nearby walls or floors. When enemies come within range of this gadget, it will drag the enemies towards the location in which it was placed and keep them anchored in that spot.

The Dishonored series has always been about utilziing the variety of abilities and tools at your disposal to experiement and take down enemies in new and unique ways. With Death of the Outside, it seems Billie Lurk will play quite differently from past characters and will once again give us new opportunities to test these her devices and abilities.

If you would like to watch today's new video in full, then you can find it at the bottom of this page. As mentioned before, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is just around the corner and will release on September 15 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
