Heavenly Delusion’s main promotional video is just under two minutes long and gives viewers a taste of the plot of the series. Although a key visual was already released, and the anime is an adaptation of a manga, seeing the characters in action is a bit more satisfying. The video shows the characters experiencing happiness, love, and sadness as they venture out of safety and into the outside world. It also teases viewers of the bizarre creatures that now inhabit the world.

The series is being directed at Production I.G. by Hirotaka Mori, with Makoto Fukami overseeing the scripts. Utsushita of Minakata Laboratory is in charge of character design, and Chainsaw Man’s Kensuke Ushio is composing the music. As previously announced, Disney+ will exclusively stream the series, but fans in Japan will also be able to watch the anime as it airs on Tokyo MX, Hokkaido TV, TV Aichi, MBS, BS11, and RKB Mainichi Broadcasting.

The anime adaptation of Ishiguro’s manga will air alongside Birdie Wing’s second season, My Clueless First Friend, Mashle: Magic and Muscles, I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World, and many other series making their way to screens this spring. However, the other shows coming in April won’t depict Maru and Kiruko leaving the safety of the nursery-style building where they were raised to search for heaven in a desolate Tokyo full of creepy, supernatural beings.
