Dissidia 012 [Duodecim] Comes to North America on March 22

In a bit of a surprise, Square-Enix today announced that the sequel to their Dissidia: Final Fantasy franchise will launch in North America on March 22, less than a month after it releases in Japan. What brought this about? Who knows, but that is definitely a fairly quick localization turn-around. So quick, in fact, that they were probably working on both versions simultaneously.

Some of the characters’ previous voice actors are back for this release, as well, such as Final Fantasy XIII‘s Ali Hills as Lightning and Tifa’s English voice actress, Rachael Leigh Cook. The game will also retail for $10 less than the original title did, so it will be available for $29.99, which actually isn’t that bad a price for a PSP title of this quality.
