Today Square Enix announced a new Nico Nico broadcast for its Team Ninja-developed arcade fighting game Dissidia: Final Fantasy, that is currently available in Japanese arcade centers.

The broadcast will happen at 9 PM Japan Time, and you'll be able to watch it here.

According to the announcement, a new character will be revealed, including the showcase of actual gameplay.

On top of that, there will be information on a new update for the game, and more tidbits in a Q&A session with the developers. The broadcast will star Producer Ichiro Hazama, Director Takeo Kujiraoka and PR Lead Yuki Mizuno.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy was released on November 26th, 2015. Square Enix mentioned in the past that it would take at least a year to get a home console port, and a year has passed, but the announcement made no mention or hint of a possible reveal.

As for the new character, my money is on someone from Final Fantasy XV, probably Noctis, but this is just personal speculation, so feel free to do your own in the comments. In an ideal world, we'd get Aranea, but that's more wishful thinking than speculation.
