New Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Character Kam'lanaut Will Make You Wish for a Final Fantasy XI Remake

The next villain to join Dissidia Final Fantasy NT (and to get a considerable facelift) is Kam'lanaut from the old and glorious Final Fantasy XI.

Today Square Enix announced a brand new character for both Dissidia Final Fantasy NT and the arcade version Dissidia Final Fantasy.

The new fighter will prove very familiar to those like me who love (good) MMORPGs, Final Fantasy XI villain and Archduke of Jeuno Kam’lanaut. Boy, I hated this dude.

Kam’lanaut was announced with a trailer, and you can watch it below. He will be implemented in the arcade version this month, while the update for the PS4 version Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will come in October.

Now, just think if Square Enix remade Final Fantasy XI with this kind of graphics. I’d play it.

If you’re interested in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, you can also check out the previously-announced DLC characters, Final Fantasy VIII heroine Rinoa Heartilly, Final Fantasy VI‘s protagonist Locke Cole and Final Fantasy XII villain Vayne Carudas Solidor. If you’re not familiar with the game and want to read more, you can read our review and see what we think about it.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is currently available exclusively for PS4. If you have not purchased the game yet, but would like to, you can grab a copy on Amazon.

RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
