Today during a stage show hosted at Jump Festa at the Makuhari Messe venue in Chiba near Tokyo, Square Enix showcased more gameplay of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.

The game was played live, and among the six players, we saw Director Takeo Kujiraoka and Producer Ichiro Hazama. Two matches were played, both in the new Core Battle mode.

In Core Battle Mode, the two teams basically have to destroy the enemy core, while protecting their own at the same time. It’s a nice little variation on the standard battle mode.

You can check out both matches below. If you want to see more, you can enjoy more gameplay and info about the open beta, the  latest story trailer released to celebrate Jump Festa, more gameplay footage showcasing the title’s many features, a trailer from a few days ago focusing on the rosterthe opening cutscene by Visual Works, a recent trailer featuring Materia and Spiritus, and a batch of screenshots showing the story mode.

Of course, you should also take a look at our interview with Director Takeo Kujiraoka and Producer Ichiro Hazama.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will launch in North America and Europe on January 30th, 2018 exclusively for PS4.
