If you expected the announcement of the PS4 version of Dissidia: Final Fantasy, well… that’s not quite what Square Enix announced today at the Final Fantasy 30th anniversary event held at the Toho Cinema Roppongi Hills venue in Tokyo.

On the other hand, they did announce the release date for Japan of the mobile JRPG inspired by the arcade fighting game big brother Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia.

The game will launch in Japan tomorrow (February 1st) for iOS and Android.

As an additional piece of news, Aerith Gainsboroug from Final Fantasy VII will join the cast, alongside the already revealed Cloud, Tifa and Yuffie.

Below you can check out a few official screenshots and artwork, alongside some bonus ones that I snapped myself at the event.
