The Japanese gaming magazine Shonen Jump revealed in its latest issue that Square-Enix has a sequel to Dissidia: Final Fantasy in development, titled Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy. So far not a whole lot is known about the title, other than the fact that it will be an action/fighting game with a story much like its predecessor.

We also know that two characters that may or may not be on fan's wish lists will be appearing in the new game - Kain from Final Fantasy IV, which is most definitely a fan favorite, and Lightning from the franchise's most recent single-player outing Final Fantasy XIII. That is pretty much it for now, other than the fact that it seems a Japanese release will happen sometime in 2011.
