Divinity: Original Sin 2 Developer Releases Christmas Advent Calendar with Giveaways

on December 1, 2016 2:15 PM

Developer Larian Studios launched a Divinity: Original Sin 2 digital Advent calendar today, giving fans a chance to win digital prizes.

Every day until December 25th, a new image will appear on the Divinity Advent calendar page and will have a number hidden somewhere inside of it. Once the number is found, you can enter the hidden number on the form linked on the page and earn some free loot for use in-game. Each image lasts 24 hours and will be replaced with the next day’s image at midnight PST.

For those of you that don’t know, an Advent calendar is a special calendar used to count or celebrate the days in anticipation of Christmas. Since the date of the first Sunday of Advent varies, falling between November 27th and December 3rd, the Advent calendar usually begins on December 1, although many include the previous few days that are part of the season.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is presently in early access on PC and is scheduled to release sometime in 2017. The plot resolves around Bishop Alexandar the Innocent as he declares all sorcerers to be criminals. Because of this, a group of four sorcerers embark on a quest to defeat their ruler.

The game launched on Kickstarter in August 2015. It reached its $500,000 goal in less than 12 hours, with some of the stretch goals reached before they were even announced. In the end, all of the available stretch goals were met, with over 2 million dollars collected in total.
