In response to the massive success of Larian Studios’s Kickstarter campaign, Divinity: Original Sin 2 will be getting a new set of stretch goals:
The game managed to snatch the Skill Tree II, with the last one of the original goals being “The Hall of Echoes.
When beings die, they are first sent to The Hall of Echoes and then based on the life they led will either being sent to the Architect’s Forge (where they’ll be reincarnated) or the Void (where they’ll cease to exist).
This stretch goal will allow players to actual traverse and build a homestead in the Great Hall.
Meanwhile the Dwarven race has been detailed quite a bit in the latest update. We find out that Dwarves are natural-born empire builders and are organised, cunning, pragmatic and brutal. Their race was a series of clans that were subjugated until they fought back and created their own nation.
As they grew more powerful, they also became more complacent and the actions of a recent weak-willed ruler nearly caused the empire’s downfall until his sister staged a coup d’etat with the Divine Order’s backing.
So far the campaign has reached $1,436,451. If you’re interested, you can support the campaign here.
