Larian Studios’ sequel to its critically lauded RPG, Divinity: Original Sin 2, gets a new trailer showcasing the game’s protagonists, intriguing environments, and tactical combat.
The Belgian developer’s latest release will offer a slew of features that certainly promote replayability. Players will be able to choose between six different origins — with the undead character making its brief debut in the new trailer — each with their own unique abilities and customization options. Exploring the fantastical world of Rivellon can be done alone or up to four friends with couch co-op functionality.
As seen in the video, Divinity: Original Sin 2 will also feature “pen and paper RPG freedom” with dialogue choices, gear options, and various ways to explore the vast world.
Developer Larian Studios launched the game’s Kickstarter in 2015, where it received all of its funding in less than 12 hours. By the end of its campaign, Divinity: Original Sin 2 garnered over $2 million. Since then, the Belgian developer have unveiled new updates and modes for the upcoming RPG. Recently, it was revealed that the title will feature a full voice cast with over 74,000 lines of dialogue spoken throughout the game.
