Activision has announced DJ Hero turntable controllers are now available as standalone purchases. No longer is there a need to buy a second copy of DJ Hero to get your two-player fix.

Available for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii, you can get the turntable alone for $59.99. With a second turntable, players can battle against each other, mix and scratch together, or a player can join in to emcee over any track in the game with a mic or using a Guitar Hero guitar controller along with a turntable controller to create DJ-guitar mixes.

“Adding a second DJ Hero turntable controller to the mix puts a new spin on the game’s social experience,” said Jamie Jackson, Creative Director at FreeStyleGames.  “Now living room DJs can go play with their friends and family and enjoy our exclusive mixes in another all-new way.”

Additionally, the first 100,000 people to buy a new standalone turntable will receive an exclusive Shepard Fairey poster shown below.
