Doctor Who: Legacy Will Time Travel its Way Onto iOS and Android
Do you know the Doctor? Well, you’re about to…again. It looks like BBC is launching Doctor Who: Legacy, a free-to-play iOS and Android game to celebrate the series 50th anniversary which is expected to be released “soon.”
More importantly the game is being developed by Tiny Rebel Games and Seed Studios, who are not the same people who made Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock last year. While The Eternity Clock was planned as the first of a trilogy of adventure games for PC, PS3, and PS Vita, BBC confirmed the remaining games in that trilogy have been cancelled, and developer Supermassive Games is moving on to other projects.
Even though details haven’t been released on Legacy the announcement image depicts the Doctor’s tomb on the bleak planet of Trenzalore, which was distinctly featured in the latest season finale. However, there’s no word on how closely (if at all) the game will tie-in with the episode.
Meanwhile you can catch Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary TV special on November 23rd.
