Deathloop is the latest release from Bethesda and Arkane Software and is releasing on both PS5 and PC, prompting players to obviously wonder if there is crossplay between the two platforms.

While now owned by Microsoft, Bethesda is still honoring their timed console exclusivity with Deathloop on PlayStation 5. Due to this only being console exclusivity, it is also coming to PC as well.

The release of Deathloop is now upon us, which is exactly when people will really be wanting to know if crossplay is included.

What Is Crossplay?

Crossplay is a feature that has been around for a number of years now, where players on different platforms can play with one another. In the past, this was typically limited to the same platform, such as PS4 and PS3 in the past, but more and more has crossplay across completely different platforms been a thing.

While crossplay between PlayStation and Xbox is very new, crossplay between PlayStation platforms and PC has been a thing for a while longer.

Does Deathloop Have Crossplay?

As mentioned above, Deathloop being a console exclusive to PS5 is rather interesting considering Bethesda is owned by Microsoft, but this was a deal that was struck years prior.

Even though it is a console exclusive to PS5, Deathloop is also releasing simultaneously on PC, which you might think would mean there would be crossplay between the two platforms. However, that is now the case.

At least for the time being around launch, Deathloop does not have crossplay that would allow PS5 gamers to play with PC gamers online.

This is certainly going to disappoint some people that may want to play Deathloop with friends on the other platform, but that is not in the cards right now. The good news is that it's only on two platforms though, so your odds of being on the same platform as your friends is higher at least.

Deathloop releases on Tuesday, September 14 for PS5 and PC.
