Wondering if you can crossplay D&D Dark Alliance with your mates?

Dungeons and Dragons devotees are currently counting down the hours until Dark Alliance finally awakens from its slumber tomorrow.  Developed by Tuque Games, the hard-core RPG title lives on the basis of online multiplayer so, naturally, fans will be wondering if they can play with other Xbox, PlayStation and PC users to really kick off the game's launch.

As the game thrives off playing with others, we look into the question of crossplay and what players should know before diving into the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II.

Will Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance Support Crossplay?

The answer to this is a little more convoluted than it should ever be. Basically, yes - Dark Alliance is crossplay but it is also restricted to cross-gen play. This means that if you are playing the title on Xbox, you can team up with your friends you also own an Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S.

This same method is used for PlayStation users. If you are lucky enough to have grabbed yourself a PS5 then you can get stuck into the action with your PS4 pal.

Although, some good news if you're a PC player as on launch day, you will be able to play with those who own Xbox devices. Hopefully, that hasn't confused you too much and we are keeping our fingers crossed that maybe this will change where everyone can play together regardless of their platform.
