Halo Infinite is the latest entry in the long running Halo series and is releasing simultaneously on multiple platforms, leading people to wonder where it supports cross-play in its just launched multiplayer beta.

Halo Infinite is still set to launch officially on December 8 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC with the game's full campaign and such.

It was already announced that Halo Infinite would have free-to-play multiplayer that would be released at the same time, but it was a nice surprise that we have the ability to play it now as part of the Season 1 Multiplayer Beta.

Does Halo Infinite Multiplayer Have Cross-Play?

Cross-play has become a very common feature in more recent years across even platforms such as Xbox and PlayStation, which is something that was once thought near impossible.

Even when that was questionable, it was pretty common for there to be cross-play between consoles and PC, which is exactly the case with Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite features cross-play across all of its platforms, including Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC. Regardless of which version of the console you are playing on, you can hop on with your friends or random other players and play Halo Infinite multiplayer.

This isn't something you'll have to wait until December 8 for the full release to experience either, as the Season 1 Multiplayer Beta includes cross-play as well.

Will Campaign Have Cross-Play?

This is something that is a little complicated, because Halo Infinite will not have a co-op variation of campaign available at the launch of the game next month.

This is something that is definitely coming in the few months after release but will not be ready as of the game's release date.

However, we already know that online co-op is coming to the game, so it's almost a certainty that it will also feature cross-play as well. That would mean that someone on PC could be playing through the campaign with a friend on Xbox Series X, which was a feature added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection in the past as well.
