From the very start of the Entertainment District Arc, Demon Slayer has been moving forward at a fast pace. At no point, anime fans could say they disliked a particular episode. Honestly, when it comes to the surprises and plot twists, Demon Slayer has the edge over most anime series. Well, something similar happened in the recent episode of the anime.

After struggling to fight against Nezuko's new form, Daki finally makes a comeback and attacks Nezuko and Tanjiro. However, Uzui appears from nowhere and slashes Daki's robe into several pieces. A few moments later, Daki's head is shown to be severed in the attack as well.

At one point, it felt like an end for Daki, especially seeing her head chopped off. However, she calls for her brother in pain, and her demon brother makes a surprise appearance from within her body. Gyutaro, Daki's brother, is much stronger than her sister, and he has killed 13 Hashiras in the past.

After talking for a while, the sound Hashira Tengen Uzui and Gyutaro engage in a battle, and the episode ends with the siblings standing against Uzui in a two-on-one fight.

Does Uzui Die Fighting Gyutaro In Demon Slayer?

Well, you'd be delighted to know that Tengen Uzui doesn't die fighting against Gyutaro and Daki. However, the Sound Hashira does die in the manga, but that happens far in the future.

In the manga, the fight between Uzui and the sibling demons gets ruthless, and Tengen gets badly injured from Gyutaro's poisoned sickles. After an intense battle and the support from Uzui's wives, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu, the demons are defeated. However, Uzui loses one of his arms and an eye in the fight, leaving Tengen Uzui with no choice but to retire from the Demon Slayer Corps.

Also, the manga never specifies how the sound Hashira Tengen Uzui dies in the future, which gets us to the conclusion that he passes away from a natural cause.
