Dohna Dohna Isshou ni Warui Koto wo Shiyou Announced for 2020 Release by Alice Soft

doHna:doHna Isshou ni Warui Koto wo Shiyou has been in development for years but had no official name nor release estimate until now.

Soon after nearly every part of the planet had reached 2020 on the Gregorian calendar, eroge studio Alice Soft officially announced on Twitter that Dohna Dohna will be releasing this year, in 2020. The game’s official name was also revealed: Dohna Dohna Isshou ni Warui Koto wo Shiyou, which could be translated to Dohna Dohna Let’s do Evil Stuff Together. Needless to say, seeing Dohna Dohna is an eroge, a Japanese game with explicit content, the game will exclusively release on PC.

Dohna Dohna is basically an RPG about various Clans doing evil things to disturb society and fight each other, with an extremely colorful art direction. Dohna Dohna has been in development for years now, and the game was first mentioned by Alice Soft in 2017. However, Alice Soft didn’t give out a release date estimate for the game and didn’t decide on its official name until now. These past two years, Alice Soft sporadically shared development updates with work in progress screenshots or videos, showcasing some of the game’s battle system and characters. In particular, Dohna Dohna has some really cool 2D animations in battle.

Alice Soft is one of the oldest eroge studios in Japan still in activity today. The studio was founded in 1989 and released many games since then, not all necessarily eroge. Taking into account Alice Soft’s past games and how renowned they are for their gameplay systems, there’s a high chance Dohna Dohna Isshou ni Warui Koto wo Shiyou will turn into a great RPG to try out regardless of if you’re interested in the eroge elements or not.

Dohna Dohna Isshou ni Warui Koto wo Shiyou will be Alice Soft’s newest big RPG after Evenicle 2 in February 2019 and the finale of the Rance series, Rance 10, in February 2017. Seeing Arunaru, one of the main translators of Alice Soft games at MangaGamer, left the company after denouncing exploitation-like practices in October 2019, it’ll be interesting to see who might step up to localize Dohna Dohna, or if the game will never officially leave Japan.

New screenshots for the game were also shared by Alice Soft. All screenshots include a mention stating the game is still in development and subject to change.
