Coming off a strong year in 2015 with several big titles like Rise of the Tomb Raider and sleeper hits like Life is Strange and Just Cause 3, Square Enix may be expanding its roster of mobile titles based on its best-selling properties with several new domain registrations being found for new titles in its “Go” series.
A post on NeoGAF (from user “ekim”) revealed several domain registrations coming from the registration service CSC Domain Tools, which Square Enix has previously used for its other domain registrations.
In particular, the domains registered all lead to what could be potential new entries in the company’s series of “Go” titles, with the domains registered leading to titles including “Thief Go,” “Deus Ex Go,” “Life is Strange Go,” and “Just Cause Go.”
Following previous iterations such as Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go, none of these titles have been confirmed or announced at this time by Square Enix, so these registrations should be taken with a grain of salt as nothing official is underway.
However, the registrations could at least indicate these titles may be under consideration by Square Enix, given the high praise and sales success of both Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go, with it making some degree of sense that Square Enix may want to explore adapting its other popular series and titles to new mobile games.
