DOOM Demo and New Multiplayer DLC Revealed; VR Support Coming

on June 12, 2016 10:53 PM

During their E3 conference, Bethesda announced that there will be a demo for DOOM available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.  The demo will include the first level of the singleplayer mode.

This was done as a throwback to Shareware, an old game trial service from the 1990’s that the original Doom was famous for using.

Bethesda also revealed various updates for SnapMap, and UNTO THE EVIL, the first multiplayer DLC for DOOM. UNTO THE EVIL will include 3 new multiplayer maps, a new playable demon named The Harvester, a new gun, and additional armor sets and taunts.

They also announced that DOOM will be playable in VR with the HTC Vive.

The demo will only be available for a limited time.  DOOM is available now for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
