Are you ready for the return of the Doomslayer? In order to prepare you for Hell on Earth, the Doom Eternal preload timing and PC specifications have been revealed.

According to a new post from Bethesda, if you've preordered Doom Eternal for Xbox One, PS4, or PC digitally, you can begin preloading the game 48 hours before it launches in your region. That is a full two days before it releases on March 20. This does mean the preload time differs depending on your region and platform of choice. Here are the launch day unlock times for the game:

PlayStation 4

  • 12:00 am ET on March 20 in North America
  • 12:00 am in your time zone on March 20 in the rest of the world

Xbox One

  • 12:00 am ET on March 20 in North America
  • 1:00 am ET on March 20 in Mexico
  • 12:00 am in your time zone on March 20 in the rest of the world

PC (Steam or Bethesda.net)

  • 12:01 am ET on March 20 in North and South America
  • 10:01 am ET on March 19 in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia
  • 7:01 pm ET on March 19 in Europe and the rest of the world.

Stadia

  • 12:01 am ET on March 20 for all Stadia users

If you are playing Doom Eternal on PC, Bethesda has detailed minimum, recommened, and "ultra-nightmare" specifications. Ultra-nightmare targets 4K/60 fps on ultra-nightmare settings, recommended targets 1440p/60 fps on high quality settings, and minimum targets 1080p/60 fps on low quality settings. Recommended Specs

  • Intel Core i7-6700K or better, or AMD Ryzen 7 1800X or better
  • 8 GB System RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (8 GB), RTX 2060 (6 GB), or AMD Radeon RX Vega56 (8 GB)
  • 50 GB hard drive space

Minimum Specs

  • 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 10
  • Intel Core i5 @ 3.3 GHz or better, or AMD Ryzen 3 @ 3.1 GHz or better
  • 8 GB System RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce 1050Ti (4 GB), GTX 1060 (3 GB), GTX 1650 (4 GB) or AMD Radeon R9 280 (3 GB), AMD Radeon R9 290 (4 GB) or RX 470 (4 GB)

There are some caveats to and additional details to each of the specs, so make sure to check this link to get all the information you need for your preferred experience.

Lastly, the post does confirm how Doom Eternal will perform on each console platform. Xbox One X will run at the highest resolution, up-sampling to 4k from 1800p @ 60 fps. The PlayStation 4 Pro will also up-sample to 4K but from 1440p @ 60 fps. Stadia players can expect the game to run at 1080p @60fps on HD displays and up-sample to 4K from 1800p @ 60 fps on 4K displays. All of these platforms will support HDR, including the base PS4 and Xbox One S.
