DOOM Free Update 4 Adds Arcade Mode, Two New Muliplayer Modes, and Classic Modules for SnapMap

id Software has released Free Update 4 for DOOM, which adds an Arcade Mode to the game, along with two new multiplayer modes, and “Classic Modules” to SnapMap.

In Arcade Mode, players are given all guns, runes, and equipment in the game from the start, and must slay demons in order to build up their score and be ranked on worldwide leaderboards.

The “Classic Modules” for SnapMap allow players to build levels with new assets based on the original games.

The first of the two new multiplayer modes is Prowlers vs. Marines, which has a team of player controlled marines fend off Prowlers. If one of the marines die, they respawn as a Prowler. The other new mode is called Bloodrush, which makes players keep track of a Bloodrush meter during battle in order to stay alive. The meter drains over time, and must be replenished through killing other players. The match goes on until there is only one player left standing.

You can watch a trailer for the Free Update 4 below. DOOM is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
