It was at the Bethesda E3 2017 press conference where the company announced that another favorite franchise would be making the leap to VR. Doom VFR seems to be shaping-up as an exciting addition to the virtual reality library. Today, Bethesda revealed a new video describing how the team at id Software has brought the game to life without compromising on quality.

Along with a bit new gameplay footage, the video below includes comments by Game Director Marty Stratton and Chief Technology Officer Robert Duffy, describing how the gameplay, story, and environments differ from those in Doom (2016).

In Doom VFR, players control a cybernetically enhanced being brought back to life with an artificial brain. This being has just one thing on its mind: fight the demonic invasion of Mars. The game will allow players to play through Doom‘s world “from an entirely new perspective.”

If you would like to learn more about Doom VFR, you should visit Bethesda’s official website for details. It is planned to release for PlayStation VR and HTC Vive platforms. You can view the full From Mars to Hell in Doom VFR video below.

A new update recently came to Doom (2016) in the form of Update 6.66, bringing a slew of new content to the game, even unlocking all multiplayer DLC absolutely free.
