The promised first look at the upcoming Doom will only be shown to those actually attending QuakeCon 2014, publisher Bethesda Softworks has said.

Unlike most conventions, the footage shown at QuakeCon will be not be streamed on the internet or released following the show. The move, Bethesda says, is to show gratitude to the fans who attend QuakeCon.

This an exclusive thing we are doing for attendees as part of our Annual QuakeCon Welcome presentation

We didn’t want another QuakeCon to go by without doing something special for the amazing QC community and id supporters that have been with us for more than 20 years.

The rest of the world will get their first look at Doom at a “later date,” Bethesda said.
