Toronto Ultra: Why Has Dr Disrespect Been Banned Again?

The Doc has been hit with another ban!

If you’re familiar with the famous Twitch streamer, Dr Disrespect, you won’t be surprised to hear he’s been banned yet again. This time though, it’s not from a streaming platform. Dr Disrespect has found himself banned from competing in the latest Call of Duty: Warzone tournament, known as Toronto Ultra. ZLaner posted a short video announcing that the Doc wouldn’t be competing at the tournament, you can check it out below.

Who Is Dr Disrespect?

Herschel “Guy” Beahm, better known by his online alias Dr Disrespect, is an American internet star. He’s best known for his YouTube content, with over 3 million subscribers on the platform.

Although best known for his Call of Duty content on YouTube, Beahm was the community manager at Sledgehammer Games and went on to become a level designer. The Doc created many of the multiplayer maps found in Cal of Duty: Advanced Warfare. He then quit Sledgehammer Games in 2015 in order to focus on streaming and content creation full-time.

Back in 2020, the Doc received a permanent ban on Twitch and has moved to YouTube to stream full time.

What Is The Toronto Ultra Warzone Tournament?

The Toronto Ultra Warzone Tournament is a $100,000 tournament held in the popular Battle Royale game, Call of Duty: Warzone. This is the second time that Toronto Ultra has held the popular tournament which features popular streamers and top tier Warzone players.

A total of 36 teams drop into Verdansk, players will then compete in trios and attempt to win their share of the $100,000 prize money.

Why Has Dr Disrespect Been Banned From Toronto Ultra?

There’s no official word from the organisers at Toronto Ultra or Call of Duty as to why they won’t allow the Doc to compete in the tournament. But, according to ZLaner, it’s likely that Dr Disrespect has been banned from the Toronto Ultra tournament because of his permanent Twitch ban that occurred back in 2020.

ZLaner asked the Doc if he’d be able to pull any strings but alas, this decision clearly comes from a high place.

Fans were shocked at the decision, but we figure Dr Disrespect is just used to the bans now as he hasn’t made any official comment on being banned from the tournament.
