BioWare has been quite upfront for awhile now that it is currently developing the fourth entry in the Dragon Age series, but we have yet to really see or hear much about it. Fortunately, today we received a brief new update on the title, even though there's not a whole lot to glean from it.BioWare executive producer Mark Darrah took to Twitter this afternoon and provided fans with some new information about the latest entry in the Dragon Age franchise. Darrah reaffirmed that given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the team at the studio working on DA has transitioned to working from home in recent months. He also noted that this has, obviously, make development more difficult, but the game as a whole is "making progress."

This is the first news related to Dragon Age since last month when during the EA Play live stream, we received what looked to be our first official looks at the fourth entry in the saga. Despite there not being much to show, BioWare and Electronic Arts did unveil what looked to be some in-engine game footage from Dragon Age. All that we could really see were a few various environments from the game itself, but it was still more than enough to generate a fair bit of excitement.

The biggest question regarding Darrah's latest update though is whether or not the transition to working from home will cause the next Dragon Age to be pushed back a bit. While EA and BioWare haven't specifically committed to a release window, it was previously said that the game would be likely to launch in 2022 at the earliest. Nothing that has been said so far has indicated that this window will be shifting just yet, but given how far out the title still is, it wouldn't be shocking to see timelines changing.

Whenever the latest iteration in the Dragon Age series does come about though, it'll surely be coming to PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
