Dragon Age: Inquisition Actress Alix Wilton Regan Shows How to do Proper Spit Takes

For those who don’t know, a “spit take” is when an actor spits out a beverage as a reaction to something that is said. The same applies for voice acting as well. In this video, Alix Wilton Regan, who is one of the voices of the Inquisitor in Dragon Age: Inquisition, shows us her technique for getting the perfect spit take.

Alix likes to use actual water in order to get the best sounds. There’s a man in the room with her who is holding a small garbage can for her to spit the water into but none of it quite makes it in; most of it landing squarely on his face.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on October 7th.
