Upcoming RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition will feature a co-op multiplayer component, developer Bioware said today.
The multiplayer is modeled on Mass Effect 3’s online gamemode, although Bioware intends for it to be “signifcantly deeper.”
A single match in multiplayer will run for around 30 minutes, with three campaigns available to choose from. Players choose from one of nine heroes, who are either mages, archers or melee brawlers and play through a randomized game field. Beating a level will unlock new loot.
Players will be able to pay money to boost their level in the multiplayer mode, although apparently not content is actually locked behind a paywall.
The multiplayer component of Dragon Age: Inquisition is intended to be supported after the game’s release, with new content and levels released for free.
Dragon Age: Inqusition is set for release November 18 on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
