Bandai Namco announced new fighters for their upcoming 2D-fighter Dragon Ball FighterZ, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2018.

The screenshots show off Piccolo and Krillin as playable characters:

Piccolo will be considered as a technical fighter who wields an extendable arm, which he uses to grab opponents. He can also easily break guards and summon fast striking beams. Players will be able to use charge attacks as well as Piccolo's Ki blast at a range.

Krillin, due to his size, doesn't have much of a reach, but he compensates this by packing a powerful punch and many techniques. Players will be able to use his Kamehameha as well as skills that can cause his opponents to become confused in battle, making it easier to get up close. If you were wondering if Krillin's Senzu Bean additiction will be making its way into the game, the answer yes. Also, he will be able to launch an unblockable Destructo Disc (Circle of Ki, translation varies between regions) at a range.

Online battles in Dragon Ball FighterZ allow players to interact with other users in the game's "FighterZ" lobby. This will be where players will get matched with others who are looking for a fight. Addition, player can communicate with "Z-Stamp", facial expressions from Dragon Ball characters, and watch their fight in replay mode.

In case you missed it, the most recent character to be announced was Trunks, along with the game's closed beta.
