Last month info from V-Jump leaked early and Bandai Namco announced in the December 2019 issue of V-Jump magazine that Broly, the Dragon Ball Super version, would be added soon as DLC in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Today we finally have a brand new trailer showcasing the devastating Broly and all his powerful combos, as well as revealing his official release date: December 5th:

The trailer itself features the main plot points from the recent he debuted in back in 2018. As such, we also get to see Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta face off against the legendary Super Saiyan. As a bonus, there's also a few quick scenes shown with Cheelai, alluding to her significance as well as the movie's ending.

Broly will be available for the FighterZ DLC Pass 2, which you can purchase on the Bandai Namco site here. Moreover, Bandai Namco also revealed through the magazine that Dragon Ball FighterZ original character Android 21 will be added to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as DLC this Winter.

Janemba was the latest fighter that released for the title. The character made his first appearance in the 1995 Dragon Ball Z film Fusion Reborn. In the film, Janemba was defeated by Gogeta so it only seems appropriate that the fusion character was shown off right after Janemba’s reveal.

Before then we had Kid Goku GT's release on May 9th, since it was Goku Day. In Japanese, five can be pronounced as "go" and nine can be pronounced as "ku," so May 9th is Goku Day. And when the Season 2 DLC pass, both Jiren and Videl were revealed as the first fighters, followed by Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta and DBS Broly.

Both FighterZ and Xenoverse 2 are currently available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.  For more on the former, you can check out our review. The next big DBZ game adaptation coming out soon is an RPG, the first one we’re getting in a long while. it’s titled Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and is coming out on January 17th for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. You can preorder it on Amazon.
