Bandai Namco and Arc System Works announced worldwide shipments for Dragon Ball FighterZ have now surpassed 5 million copies. The solemn announcement was made via the game's official Twitter account:

These sales numbers include digital sales. To celebrate, players will get in-game money and special lobby avatars from May 21 to May 28.

Dragon Ball FighterZ recently received Ultra Instinct Goku as its newest DLC character. Three more characters are supposed to be added as part of the game's Season 3 DLC content.

Dragon Ball FighterZ first launched on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 28, 2018. A Nintendo Switch port of the game later launched on September 8, 2018. It's pretty much the dream game any Dragon Ball fan was waiting to see for decades when it comes to animations and fidelity with Akira Toriyama's original manga. Game Producer Tomoko Hiroki and her team did and still do a great job.
