Get ready to live out your wildest Dragon Ball match-ups in the comfort of your living room. Bandai Namco announced today that the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch with new local multiplayer options.Announced through a post on the Bandai Namco Twitter account, the publisher stated that the Switch port of Dragon Ball FighterZ will include local 2v2 and 1v1 matches. Additionally, the game will include an “offline 6-player Party Match mode” where six players can duke it out at the same time.

In tandem with announcing the new multiplayer features, Bandai Namco also announced that the open beta for the Nintendo Switch port of Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch sometime this August, however, no exact date has been revealed.

These new local multiplayer features solidify Dragon Ball FighterZ as yet another Nintendo Switch game that seems perfect for couch multiplayer. The prospect of playing this game with five friends, each trying to kamehameha one another, may be too enticing to pass up.

Dragon Ball FighterZ was initially released earlier this year for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be released later this year on September 28th.
