Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Will Officially Release in January 2020; New Trailer Debuts the Buu Arc
Players will get to relive the origin story of Goku in the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot when it arrives for consoles and PC in early 2020.
While Dragon Ball Z has been no stranger to great games over the years, including last year’s excellent Dragon Ball FighterZ, the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is looking to bring players a truly faithful recreation of the beloved anime series’ best moments with the one and only Goku, with the game now officially arriving early next year.
During Tokyo Game Show 2019, publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment confirmed that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be releasing in January 2020, with the game to arrive on January 16 in Japan, followed by its western release on January 17.
In addition to announcing the game’s release date, Bandai Namco also debuted a brand new trailer that confirms that the Buu Arc will be appearing in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, with the trailer highlighting some of the storyline’s iconic moments featuring Majin Buu and other characters like Saiyaman.
With the game already set to feature some of the most memorable arcs from the series like the Frieza and Cell arcs, the confirmation of the Buu Arc being in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot signifies that players will be in for quite the adventure that spans through a great deal of Goku’s story, and brings along some of his most formidable adversaries.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in January 2020, and you can pre-order the game now over on Amazon. For a closer look, you can check out the brand new trailer debuted at Tokyo Game Show 2019 below that gives a brief teaser of the Buu Arc:
