A brand new update was deployed for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot earlier today (October 19), and is available to download for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Today's update implements a few different features, such as a brand new sub-story that makes Gotenks and Vegetto unlockable. As well as a new difficulty setting for players to use. Previously, these features were exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version of the game, which launched on September 24th. But now PlayStation, Xbox, and PC users will finally have access to these new characters and features.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot 1.81 Update Patch Notes

Below you will find the official patch notes and details surrounding the October 19 Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot update that is exclusively for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The Japanese Dragon Ball Twitter account tweeted the following information regarding the new update:

"A sub-story that makes Gotenks & Vegetto, which was previously implemented in the Nintendo Switch version, playable Difficulty adjustment, tutorial change Delivered on PS4 / Xbox One version. Sorry to keep you waiting. Please continue to enjoy Dragon Ball Z KAKAROT."

Whilst a user on the Kakarot Sub-reddit has uploaded an in-game image following the latest update which provides the following information on the update:

"The following sub stories have been unlocked. Elder Kai, Vegeta, and Bulma. A Little Healthy Competition. You can start them after completing the main story.

Completing them will unlock Vegito and Gotenks as playable characters."
