Today Square Enix announced a nice little bonus for those who will buy Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.

All players will find the Trodain Bandana and Trodain Togs from Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King in their inventory at launch.

This will allow us to dress the game's hero like the protagonist of the PS2 classic from 2004, granting a defensive bonus. On top of that, we're also getting the Trodain’s Top Trends recipe book that allows upgrading the costume for the late game.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age launches in North America and Europe on PS4 and PC on September 4th, and can already be pre-ordered on Amazon. The Nintendo Switch version is coming as well, but at the moment we have no clear idea on when it will be released or even exactly what it will look like. We haven't seen a single screenshot of ut, and all we know is that it’s going to take a while.
