Dragon Quest Builders brought players an unusual (but incredibly charming) take on the world of Dragon Quest when it released back in 2016 on the PlayStation platforms, and now Nintendo Switch owners will get their own turn to embark on RPG and world-building adventures with a demo of the game right now.

During today's Nintendo Direct Mini, Nintendo announced that a free demo of Dragon Quest Builders is now available on the Switch eShop, giving fans the perfect chance to explore, craft, and go on adventures with the game's upcoming Switch version.

We first reviewed Dragon Quest Builders when it released on PS4 and PS Vita in the US back in October, and overall found the game to provide "endless hours of  adventure and creation." Naturally, it seems like the game will be able to provide even more of that experience based on the upcoming Switch version between its portable or docked modes, and should make for an excellent travel companion. For a closer look at the upcoming Switch version, you can also check out some recent screenshots of the game in action.

Dragon Quest Builders is available now on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita, and will release for the Nintendo Switch on February 9th, 2018 worldwide, followed by its Japanese release on March 1st, 2018.
