Dragon Quest Celebrates its 30th Birthday With Nostalgic Trailer

In a few hours Dragon Quest will be officially 30th years old, as the first game was released on May 27th, 1986 in Japan, and there are only nine hours to go to midnight there at the moment of this writing.

To celebrate, Square Enix released a new trailer for Dragon Quest Heroes II: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End, but the new game appears only at the end.

The rest of the trailer is a nostalgic trip through the series, and you can see it below.

Happy Birthday, Dragon Quest, may Square Enix fully understand that western gamers want to celebrate with you as well.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
