Dragon Quest Monsters 2’s New Trailer Shows Off Exploration, Battle System and More

The first trailer for Dragon Quest Monsters 2, a 3DS remake of the original Gameboy Color spinoff games, has been released and it showcases exploration, the monster customization feature and the battle system. Some of the amazing boss fights are also front and center in the trailer.

It’s revealed that you can choose to play as either the female or male sibling (Ruka or Iru respectively) at the start of the game, which is great news because in the original games you had to buy one of two versions to get the character you wanted.

Monsters 2 looks very similar to Dragon Quest IX in both visuals and general gameplay and that is definitely not a bad thing, as the later is an excellent game. You can view the trailer here (since embeds are currently not allowed) for yourself and see Monsters 2 in action and go here for all the previous news on the game.
