The most popular Japanese manga prepublication magazine in the world, Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, teased that "new information on a certain Dragon Quest" game will be coming in the 2020, 35th issue of the magazine. This is info from the usual magazine leaks, and should be included in the next issue releasing on July 13 (officially titled Weekly Shonen Jump 2020 Issue 32) . Issue 35 should be releasing in early August.

The first Square Enix game that comes to mind and the most likely scenario would be new information on the Dragon Quest Monster game featuring Camus (Erik) and Maya. This game was teased and confirmed to be in development in 2018 but never officially revealed since.

Over in Japan, new mobile game Dragon Quest Tact, a tactical RPG, has just released.

Multiple DQ games are currently in development at Square Enix. One possibility is DQ XII, but while Yuji Horii pretty much confirmed its in development, they also hinted we won't see it anytime soon.

Next, we already have multiple Draque games announced, most notably the console game Infinity Strash Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai.

Square Enix also revealed a few weeks ago it will be announcing multiple new games during July-August. It's likely this Draque news is one of these new game announcements. Then again, Dragon Quest is a big Japanese thing, and these July-August announcements were planned for the canceled E3 2020, an event geared toward the west, so it feels unlikely.

Lastly, a Dragon Quest IX remake on Switch was also teased by Square Enix and Level-5 during the game's tenth anniversary event in July 2019. It's been a year since then, so it could be happening now.
