Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden is rereleasing for the first time in over a decade to the 3DS this February, 2013. This brand new 3DS version promises unique use of the top and bottom screens and everything players loved about the game the first time around.

Dragon Quest VII--Dragon Warrior VII in Japan--was as much a smash hit in Japan when it released as it's rival Final Fantasy VII was in the West, with sales reaching over 4 million, and becoming an instant "Ultimate Hits" title a year after its release.

The story revolves around a boy (referred to as "The Hero") who travels to the past to prevent the conflicts that would change the world in his time. As he changes the past, entire continents return in his era, with the story eventually bringing the Hero and his band to a legendary fight for the fate of the world.

Fans of Dragon Ball Z will find the visuals familiar: that's because DBZ's creator Akira Toriyama has been a longtime concept artist for the Dragon Quest series, with his work shaping the look and feel of the characters, the world, and the environments.
