The Dragon Quest-themed MMORPG Dragon Quest X, which has proven a rather successful endeavor for Square Enix despite being available only in Japan so far, has already partially broken free of its Nintendo exclusivity with a PC and smartphone versions, but for now it's only on Wii, Wii U and 3DS for what consoles are concerned.

During today's Dragon Quest TV broadcast on Nico Nico a Q&A session was held, and looks like PS4 owners have reason to hope.

As you can see in the slides reproduced below, the question was "do you have any plan to release Dragon Quest X on PS4?"

The answer was: "I want to do it" Yosu-P Said."

Yosu-P is the game's Lead Producer Yosuke Saito.

Considering how successful Dragon Quest X has been so far in Japan, there really is no reason to hold back on a port on Sony's emergent console.  This would also bring back the numbered series to PlayStation platforms for the first time in several years, eve if in MMORPG form.
