The Japanese magazine VJump recently published six lovely videos of the upcoming JRPG Dragon Quest XI by Square Enix.

There are three videos for the PS4 version of the game, and three for the 3DS version.

On the PS4 side, the first shows a stroll in the Ishi village, which is the first location of the game, where the hero comes from. The second gives a glimpse on a dungeon, the Hinogi volcano. The third features a spectacular boss battle against a fire dragon.

On the 3DS side, we get to see some overworld adventuring as the hero reaches the kingdom of Delcadar, while the second video features the nostalgic 2D mode. The third focused on a visit to the mysterious Yotchi village.

Dragon Quest XI will come on July 29th for PS4 and 3DS, with a Nintendo Switch release also planned. That being said, no release window has been shared for the Switch version just yet.

You can check them all out below, and if you want to see more, you can also watch some more gameplay from the PS4 and 3DS versions and some new images showing horse racing and the casino. Recently, we also learned that Square Enix can’t yet talk about the Switch version, due to “adult circumstances.”
