Today Square Enix announced that the the Japanese release date of Dragon Quest XI will be disclosed on April 11th.
The date will come during a livestream (embedded below), and will be accompanied by “various information” of yet undisclosed nature.
It’s worth mentioning that the announcement talks only about the PS4 and 3DS versions of the game, while no mention at all is made of the Nintendo Switch version, that has been confirmed multiple times, but is still shrouded in mystery. It’s unknown if it will be mentioned during the livestream at all.
If you want to see more about Dragon Quest XI, that for now just has a “2017” release window, you can check out some recent screenshots here. No word at all has been uttered about a western localization.
Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market.
RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games.
He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
