Atlus hosted a special livestream dedicated to streaming VanillaWare’s action RPG Dragon’s Crown Pro, coming to PlayStation 4 on February 8, 2018 in Japan. No confirmed release in the west at this time.

The gameplay is hosted by the voice of Elf, Asami Imai, who is accompanied by America Zarigani’s Yoshiyuki Hirai (a Japanese comedian), and freelance writer Mafia Kajita. The trio starts a new game to show the tutorial section of the game.

After the tutorial, they choose their character and take on the first dungeon together for some local multiplayer action. As some may remember, there were moments during the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of Dragon’s Crown where the framerate took a dive when there was multiple enemies on the screen and even moreso if there were multiple magic users in a party. However, this doesn’t seem to be an issue while watching the gameplay running on PlayStation 4 hardware.

Dragon’s Crown Pro will feature 4K resolution for players to experience the game in much improved resolution. Furthermore, the online multiplayer will be supported across all three versions of the game, which include PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita along with PlayStation 4.

Additionally, the entire soundtrack has been re-recorded by a live orchestra which means those who have a decent sound system will be able to experience the powerful soundtrack in a whole new way.

In case you missed it, Atlus recently launched the Amazon and Elf character trailer as well as the opening video.
