It feels like it's been forever since Media Molecule announced that their upcoming project Dreams would be getting a public beta, yet we've still heard nothing about its impending release. This much-hyped beta was supposed to release originally in 2016 but as we near the close of the year, it seems like we were potentially destined to watch it again slip to another calendar year.

In a new blog post over on Media Molecule's website though, they have reaffirmed that this beta for Dreams is still scheduled to release before year's end. The blog post's purpose was to announce the date of a new upcoming livestream for Dreams that is scheduled to take place next week, on November 28. During this stream, one of Media Molecule's members will be developing a world that players will be able to check out during the beta, which the blog post says is launching "later this year."

It's also important to note that Media Molecule states that they will not be revealing the beta release date on this livestream, so don't get your hopes up just yet. Then again, The Game Awards are right around the corner in early December, so maybe Media Molecule and Sony could have an announcement prepared for that time. At this point though, I'll believe that the Dreams beta is finally out when it's downloaded onto my PS4.

Dreams is scheduled to release at some point in 2019, exclusively for PS4. When we hear more about this potential beta date, we'll let you know.
