The Impy Awards take place as the one year anniversary of Dreams hits. The game was announced in 2015 and went into early access in April 2019. After releasing this past February, an update was released to support PlayStation VR. Over the past year, so many cool creations have come from the game. One user recreated a portion of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout while another remade Halo Infinite using Dreams‘ creation tools. One of my favorites is someone doing a PS1 demake of CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 called Cyberpunk 1997.

Shortly after launch, Media Molecule confirmed that Dreams is running on a PlayStation 5, but only to see if the game runs on the console. More recently, Media Molecule added a patch to the game that includes more music creation tools and songs to use. Leading up to Halloween last month, the developer added an event called All Hallows’ Dreams which was broken up into multiple parts dedicated to the holiday.

Dreams is available now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 through backwards compatibility. The Impy Awards take place on February 14, 2021 and you can place your votes now. Stay tuned to DualShockers for more news on Dreams and upcoming PlayStation 5 news.
