After launching into early access last year, developer Media Molecule today kicked off the new year with a rather substantial announcement regarding Dreams. In a new tweet from the studio's official Twitter account, it was revealed that Dreams has now officially gone gold. This means that the work that was needed to see the game through to completion before shipping it out around the world has now been officially wrapped. Alongside the announcement, Media Molecule also shared an image of the team that worked on the game holding a finalized Blu Ray disc of Dreams.

Dreams is set to be Sony's initial first-party release in 2020 and is set to be one of the final exclusives to land on PS4 before the upcoming launch of the PS5. Over the past year, those who have been playing the game via early access have built a ton of incredible creations ranging from new iterations of Metal Gear Solid, recreations of Bikini Bottom from Spongebob Squarepants, to even realistic-looking breakfast foods. The creation tools in Dreams seem to have no limit and with the game now formally set to launch, its community should continue to grow even larger.

If you're looking to pick up the game when it launches, you won't have to wait too much longer. Dreams is set to release next month on February 14, 2020, and will be exclusive to the PS4.
