Driveclub 1.06 Update on PS4 Fixes Nasty CE-34878-0 Crash Bug Introduced with 1.05

on November 1, 2014 1:41 PM

Since the update of Driveclub to version 1.05 a couple days ago many users have reported crashes on start-up wit the dreaded CE-34878-0 error code, which normally indicates a corrupt save.

Deleting the save file of course helped, but that caused players to lose a large part of their progression in the game. Luckily real help is on the way and patch 1.06 has just been rolled out in some countries.

The patch notes are very simple:

  • Fixes a crash bug related to loading saved data with a full event history.

And it did indeed do just that for me, so it seems to be effective.

If you’re affected by the bug, check your update history. If you’re on version 1.05 it means that the new patch still didn’t roll out in your country and should do so soon.

One thing is for sure: Evolution Studios can’t seem to catch a break.
