Driveclub Developers Release Statements on Evolution Studios’ Closure; Driveclub “Will Live On”

on March 22, 2016 11:35 AM

Earlier today, we reported about the closure of Driveclub developer Evolution Studios. Just now, Game Director Paul Rustchynsky released a statement on Twitter, commenting on the event.

Another statement was tweeted by Jamie Brayshaw, Senior Community Manager who was pretty much the face of Driveclub at many events and on social media. Interestingly, he mentions that the game “will live on” under the care of the PlayStation team.

I guess the “Finish Line” title of the latest Driveclub expansion, that actually released today, now has a whole new and definitely sad meaning.

I can only hope that Paul’s talent, and that of the many developers that have spent the past years under his lead, will soon find purchase in new studios and new games.

The least we can do is to download the free Aprilia released today alongside the new DLC, and follow Paul’s invitation by playing the hell out of it.
