Today Sony UK released a new video interview with Driveclub Design Director Paul Rustchynsky directly from Gamescom in which we get to hear an explanation about quite a few elements of the game, and we also can enjoy quite a bit of gameplay footage and some awesome cars.

Driveclub received criticism at E3 for some elements that didn't exactly look like they belonged to a next generation title, but at Gamescom it definitely looked quite a lot better. According to Rustchynsky, we can expect further improvements every time the game will be shown.

It's a game for launch, and we're developing it. E3, Gamescom...Every time you see it, it's gonna look better and better. We're getting things like motion blur now into the mix, and a variety of things like depth of field. We've already shown off the dynamic time of day. We want you to be racing at night, racing in the day, and we want to really show off the density of our tracks as well. We're trying to populate them as as densely as possible, and make them feel like real world locations, not barren tracks.

And indeed, the demo shown at Gamescom was quite impressive. If this is the rate of improvement we can expect, I can't help but being curious about what we'll see at the next public outing of the game.
